A Refined And Eclectic Garden

Located in Mount Martha, this garden is a calm, contemporary retreat designed to complement the clean architectural lines of the home while embracing the surrounding coastal landscape. The design balances structure and softness, using a refined palette of sculptural plantings, indigenous species, and classic evergreens to create a cohesive and low-maintenance outdoor space.

At the front of the property, the lawn is shaped with sweeping curves reminiscent of a golf course, offering a sense of openness and flow. Pencil pines create vertical rhythm and contrast, while Boston ivy climbs the facade, softening the architecture with seasonal colour and texture.

The garden is grounded in simplicity, with a focus on form, repetition, and timeless planting combinations. Strategic placement of trees and layered planting zones provide depth and balance, while a central water feature adds a gentle soundscape to the rear garden.
