Project: Cape Schanck, Victoria
This windswept coastal garden channels the rugged elegance of the Cape Schanck landscape, shaped by ocean breezes and shifting dunes. A rich palette of structural succulents, native grasses, and resilient shrubs creates a layered, low-maintenance design that thrives in the Peninsula’s coastal conditions.
Sweeping curves and sculptural plantings echo the natural topography, while carefully placed agaves and euphorbias anchor the garden with bold form and texture. Gravel pathways lead through undulating beds, offering moments of stillness and discovery.
Designed to complement the home’s minimalist architecture, the garden balances raw coastal textures with refined sculptural elements. It’s a contemporary retreat where nature feels both curated and untamed. The Cape Schanck project exemplifies Colin’s design philosophy: thoughtful, tactile landscapes that respond to place, climate, and lifestyle.
